TMJ and Sleep Dentistry

At the Mount Laurel Dental & Implant Center, patients can get help with TMJ (temporomandibular joint) problems or sleep-disordered breathing. These problems can cause illness or pain unless treated properly.

Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD)

When the temporomandibular joint, which is located in the front of either ear, is out of alignment, inflamed or otherwise damaged, it can cause pain, headaches, a locked jaw and other symptoms.

Dr. Suh is a member of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain (relating to the skull and face) which teaches its members how to address temporomandibular disorders. We are experienced and effective in treating this issue.

Snoring Prevention and Sleep Apnea

Snoring can be a sign of poor breathing during sleep. When sleep apnea exists, a person stops breathing repeatedly throughout the night, depriving themselves of oxygen. This can contribute to a number of serious illnesses like heart disease or diabetes.

Dr. Suh is a member of the Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine which is focused on treating breathing problems during sleep.
